The Pallister government is more concerned with cutting funding than with the quality of care for newborn children & their mothers. Share this post if you agree.

Premier Pallister has said that Keeyask and Bipole were never needed, citing the expense and debt of building dams. Yet, on page 14 of his climate change plan, his government boasts of building Keeyask and Bipole as a reason why Manitoba has already invested in reducing its carbon footprint.
It’s not clear whether the right hand of this PC government knows what the left hand is doing, or whether the left side of the premier’s mouth knows what the right side is saying.

Why has the Premier not addressed the crystal meth crisis in Manitoba?

The premier is too busy arguing with Trudeau on how much of a carbon tax to impose on Manitoba. Very important stuff..............

I spent an hour in the obesity clinic while waiting for an unrelated appointment. The patients are there to get help with their disability and are deserving of respect and accommodation.

If you want to fight obescity disrimination why dont we tax junk food, fast food and soda. Maybe then people will be less inclined to eat it and lose weight. Not to mention the health care savings costs related to obescity and diabetes alone wil be a more inpact then the discrimination act youre proposing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brody, who works at the Grant Park High School in the special needs classroom as an aide. He works with fourteen different children and other staff in a very happy and energy filled environment. His coworkers praise him for his enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, fun and caring. He is very dedicated and really enjoys his work, commenting that he basically "gets paid to play". It's a program from Manitoba Supported Employment Network MSEN and SMD, which "celebrates contributions that Manitobans with disabilities are making and are capable of making to healthy, productive and inclusive work forces in Manitoba. #MLA2WorkDay

The PC government is using decade old data to justify cuts to Manitoba’s health care system, and failing to support Manitobans who are seeking addictions treatment.

This is fine as long as it does not involve carbon taxes or wealth-transfer scams.

Earlier today we passed a resolution that the provincial government be urged to increase opportunities and promote awareness for persons with dwarfism and dedicate October 25th annually as Dwarfism Awareness Day. I thank Samantha Rayburn-Trubyk, the President of the Little People of Manitoba, and all MLAs for supporting this initiative.
